Presbyterian Ladies College, Sydney is a day and boarding school for girls. Founded in 1888 and situated at Croydon, the College is set within 4.4 hectares of extensive landscaped grounds and retains its nineteenth century heritage buildings and gardens alongside modern state-of-the-art facilities. The School greatly values its heritage gardens and when a Junior Library Extension was being built UmbaCo was engaged to assess existing gardens surrounding the old library and prepare the best possible plan of action. We prepared a detailed plan selectively evaluating existing specimen trees in accordance with their SULE values for transplanting / retention or removal. We then worked with transplanting contractors on the best locations for the relocations of mature specimen trees and palms. A landscape plan has been prepared accommodating for new seating areas, gardens and courtyards.
